Life
is such an incredible gift. As a circle of men and women, I
believe it is important to be aware of the heroes that walk
before us, beside us and behind us. Their courage and
perseverance teaches me to truly LIVE. It also teaches me
that it is important that we all walk together in support
and in friendship. In gratitude for my life and my
family, I will donate a portion of my profits to the
following organizations:

Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy. |
 |
My dear friend from
college, Julie, has a beautiful nine year old son,
named Alex, who was diagnosed with SMA. Spinal
Muscular Atrophy is a group of inherited and often
fatal diseases, which destroy the nerves that
command voluntary muscular movement. It
affects a child’s ability to crawl, walk, control
their head and neck and even swallow and breathe.
SMA is the leading genetic killer of children under
the age of two. For more information or to donate
to this special cause, please visit the FSMA website at

The Susan Komen Foundation
Many
of my friends have heard that life-changing news that they
have cancer. In support and in honor of their battle and
their lives, I am committed to supporting the Susan G. Komen
Race for the Cure. An estimate of 178, 480 new cases of
breast cancer occurred in 2007. An estimated 40, 460 women
will die from this disease. Please join me in the race for
the cure by learning more about breast cancer, participating
in the walks and/or donating. You can visit the foundation's
website at
http://www.komen.org/
St.
Jude Research Hospital
St.
Jude’s hospital is a pediatric cancer research and treatment
hospital started by Danny and Rose Marie Thomas. Due
to the amazing efforts of gifted physicians and researchers,
the cancer survival rate for young children has increased
dramatically and it is now the world’s premier center for
the study and treatment of catastrophic diseases. All
patients at this hospital are accepted for treatment without
regard to the family’s ability to pay.
Numerous children in our area have been affected by cancer.
Please join me in the fight for a cure so that all children
can have the blessing to grow up and enjoy this life that we
have been given. For more information or in order to donate
to the hospital, please their website at http://www.stjude.org/
